Skoda introduces new Enyaq Coupe iV with up to 545 km of range

Mladá Boleslav, Czech Republic-headquartered automobile manufacturer Skoda has unveiled a new Enyaq Coupé iV for Europe that will come in two different battery sizes as well as two different drivetrains.

The Enyaq Coupé iV for Europe has been introduced after the great success of Enyaq iV, a pure electric crossover SUV built upon VW Group’s proprietary MEB platform that has specifically been developed for EVs. The Enyaq iV was introduced in 2000, and it has since been joined by its Superb and Octavia models’ two PHEV versions. The quick success of the Enyaq iV allowed the brand to report better-than-expected sales numbers. Over the last couple of years, the automobile manufacturer has shifted its focus from internal combustion engines to all-electric vehicles, rather than introducing just PHEV versions of its other vehicles. The new all-electric The Enyaq Coupé iV will arrive in European markets in two separate trims.

Compared to its Enyaq predecessor, the new Coupé iV version has a lower drag coefficient (.234 Cd). According to the company’s claims, it has the ability to deliver a range of up to 545 km on a single charge; of course, it depends on which version you choose. There are four performance levels to choose from: the Enyaq Coupé iV 60, Enyaq Coupé iV 80, Enyaq Coupé iV 80x, and Enyaq Coupé RS iV.

The Enyaq Coupé iV 60 sports Single RWD with battery capacity of 62 kWh (net 58 kWh) and peak power output of 132 kW. The Enyaq Coupé iV 80 features Single RWD with 82 kWh (net 77 kWh) and peak output of 150 kW. The Enyaq Coupé iV 80x comes with Dual AWD, 82 kWh (net 77 kWh) battery capacity and 195 kW peak output; while the Enyaq Coupé RS iV sports Dual AWD, 82 kWh (net 77 kWh) battery capacity and peak output of 220 kW. Introducing the Enyaq Coupé, Skoda CEO Thomas Schäfer said, “Following the successful launch of the SUV, the new Enyaq Coupé iV brings even more emotiveness, sports styling and elegance to the Škoda iV family. Our designers and engineers have once again succeeded in combining a high degree of functionality with an emotive design”
