Nestle Sales Fall, Strong Swiss Franc Might be the Reason

In a report that startled analysts and investors everywhere, the Swiss beverages and food company Nestle has revealed that its sales have fallen by 2.2% in the last nine months. The reason is stated as the drop of demand in some markets and the strong position of the Swiss Franc. The Swiss giant also reported it will be accelerating its present share buyback program.

Swiss supplier signs partnership deal with NZ Mint

A partnership with bullion supplier PAMP has been announced by privately owned mint company New Zealand Mint.

It was confirmed by New Zealand Mint that with this partnership with the Swiss company; inroads into markets where supply is limited would be allowed.

The company further said that the deal also permits it to capitalize on the global demand for gold, which has increased as investors look for safe havens in the recession.
