Telecom’s Wi-Fi hotspot expansion plan welcomed by tourism sector New Zealand's tourism sector has welcomed Telecom's recent announcement that it will be extending free or low-cost Wi-Fi access to its customers from October. Telecom had said in its announcement that it will expand free or low cost Wi-Fi hotspots by another 700 next month; and will have nearly 2000 hotspots by mid-2014.
