On Friday, a limited number of Snap Inc.'s video-recording sunglasses - 'Spectacles' - became available for purchase in a limited debut. Spectacles are stylish sci-fi sunglasses which have the capability to record 10-second video snippets. The sunglasses work with both iOS and Android devices.

Since the launch of the Spectacles sunglasses is initially a limited one, the high demand Spectacles sunglasses are being offered through a few yellow pop-up vending machine close to Snap Inc.'s original headquarters in Venice, California.

The retail cost of the Spectacles sunglasses is $130; and they are available in three different color options --- black, teal, and coral.

The Spectacles sunglasses come packaged in a clear tube, the size of which is approximately that of three tennis balls. The tube holds the sunglasses themselves, along with a recharging case, a USB cable for the case, and a cloth for cleaning the sunglasses.

Recording videos with the Spectacles sci-fi sunglasses involves a fairly simple mechanism. The users of the glasses simply have to press the sole button on the top left side of the device to start a 10-second video recording. The recording time can be extended two times with additional presses of the same button, to enable users to record for up to 30 seconds in total.
