Dell has revealed a new, futuristic PC which the company has given the working title 'Smart Desk.' The Smart Desk PC was teased by Dell on Wednesday, in a promotional video released at the Adobe MAX conference.
The Dell Smart Desk PC -- which Dell claims has been in development for the last nearly three years -- is chiefly aimed at creative professionals, just like Microsoft's new enterprise product, the Surface Studio.
The formal announcement of the creative-oriented Smart Desk PC, as well as its specifications, expected price and availability date will likely be divulged by Dell at the 2017 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) scheduled to be held in January.
Nonetheless, going by the indications from the promotional video, the Smart Desk PC, which will boast Dell's own rendition of the Surface Dial, will basically be an amalgamation of a tablet - similar to Microsoft Surface Studio - with a standard computer monitor.
As such, the critical interactive components of an application will apparently get displayed on the tablet portion of the Dell Smart Desk PC, while the results of that work will appear on the device's regular display.
