A day after Microsoft's announcement of its new Surface Book i7 on Monday, Apple has officially unveiled its new MacBook Pro models --- the company's sixth-generation Skylake laptops which mark the best MacBook Pro yet.
The unveiling of the new MacBook Pro models by Apple on Tuesday came in coincidence with the 25th anniversary of the company's laptops.
The new 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Pros unveiled by Apple are considerably sleeker and lighter than the preceding models, thanks largely to their new all-aluminum designs. The new 13-inch MacBook Pro is a 3lb, 14.9mm thin device; while the 15-inch model is a 4lb, 15.5mm thin laptop.
The new MacBook Pro laptops come with an improved keyboard, and a two-fold bigger Force Touch trackpad. In addition, the new models also boast a new context-sensitive Retina display Touch Bar - in place of the row of Function keys - as well as built-in Touch ID with Secure Enclave and Sapphire glass protection.
Moreover, the new MacBook Pros are also equipped with much brighter displays, which are 67 percent brighter and have 67 percent higher contrast than their predecessors. All the new MacBook Pro models are also fitted with four Thunderbolt 3 ports - capable of going up to 40GB/s - which can be used for power or as Thunderbolt, DisplayPort, USB-C, HDMI or VGA connections.
