Popular social networking site Twitter is in the process of testing out a new retweeting feature under Project Retweet, which will enable users to easily and quickly forward any interesting tweet they stumble upon to all their followers.
Initially, for the test phase, only a limited number of user profiles have been equipped with the retweet button. Twitter first wants to bug test the addition and ensure that all is well and working, post which the feature will be released for all Twitter users.
Via the new feature, users will be able to see what updates/posts they have retweeted as well as who all have retweeted posts/updates they have originally tweeted.
The retweet feature is another addition to Twitter's latest drive of updating its existing services and introducing new ones so that the site does not lose its user base to other similar sites.
