With the Motorola Droid X having already been launched on Verizon in the US, and the Droid 2 also round the corner, a FrAndroid report has revealed that the Droid X will likely hit France in November or December.
The report also adds that, subsequent to the Droid X release in France, the Droid 2 will also be introduced as Motorola Milestone 2 – with the name change apparently falling in line with the fact that the first QWERTY Droid was launched as Milestone in Europe.
In addition to Motorola’s launch of the Droid X and Droid 2 handsets in France, the release of the two handsets in other European markets – including UK, Germany, and Italy – will also clearly be on the cards soon after.
It is also being speculated that in case the Droid X and Milestone 2 mark their Europe debut in a few months from now, the devices will most likely feature the newest Android version – the Android 2.2 Froyo.
In fact, with the ever since the build FRF84B was leaked with Root available, there have been indications that the much-awaited Android Froyo update will soon arrive on the Motorola Droid phones.
Going by an unofficial Verizon Tech Support site, which confirmed the arrival of the Froyo update some days back, the Classic Droid may probably get Android Froyo as early as next week!
