Network of P Ring Gets Detected

P-RingOrganised and Financial Crime Agency (OFCANZ) and Auckland Metro Crime squad has arrested a serious fraud maker Daniel, 34-year-old from Taiwan, who was charged last week.

The man was alleged to run a crime ring, which was importing and distributing P around New Zealand. The cash around $1 million and a prized sports car have been captured from the man. During the raid, high-powered weapons like sniper rifles and $5.5 million of methamphetamine were also found with him. Also, $985,025 of cash was discovered at his home.

Under the Criminal Proceeds (Recovery) Act, he had already disclosed his belonging Lotus Elise worth $125,000.

Other members of the P ring are Aenoy Bouavong, his brother Phokham, Aenoy Keophila, Henry Mika, Tavita Maleko, Ka Kit Poon and Thi Hong La Nguyen. They carried their operation from downtown Auckland apartment. They used to converse in coded language, which was found from tapped phones.

Detective Inspector Bruce Good from Amcos stated that last week they made eight major arrests in Waikato and Coromandel under Operation Acacia and it is significant seizure for North Island. Also, under the Operation Atlas methamphetamine manufacturers in Waihi and Whangamata were targeted. Phillip Ly, a 26-year-old from Vietnam living in the Auckland suburb of Glendene is the link between the two investigations.

A number of P ring members have been arrested. This shows the wide spread crime in the state.
