The software giant Microsoft has seen a rise in its profits of 48% and reached to 4.52 billion dollars in the three months till June. This rise of 48% is compared to the profits of same period of time in last year. According to Microsoft the boosted sales of the Windows & operating system has pulled up the profits. According to the company records 175 million licenses for the Windows 7 operating system have been sold since its release in last year.
The total revenue of the company also rose up to 16 billion dollars boosted by the strong sales from the Xbox games console and the Bing search engine. The profits were up by 29% and reached to 18.76 billion dollars for the last year till the end of this June.
The software giant has also been benefited from the launch of new technologies and applications like Office 2010. The chief financial officer of Microsoft, Mr. Peter Klein said "The revenue growth has helped the company to fulfill the target of another quarter of margin expansion".
According to the research the worldwide sales of computers have grew by more than 20%.
