Dengue fever epidemic finally over in Queensland

Health authorities of Queensland will soon make official declaration regarding the ending of the dengue fever epidemic.
The details of the dengue fever epidemic will be released by the Dr. Scott Ritchie, Tropical Population Health Services spokesman.
Dengue fever epidemic was the biggest outbreak of the disease in Australia in at least 50 years.
Queensland Health says more than 930 people in the state's north, and far north, were diagnosed with a "particularly virulent" strain of type three dengue fever.
The epidemic began in Cairns in November last year and spread across north Queensland. The complication with the disease took life of one elderly Cairns woman.
