Protocols will remain the same despite claims that a staff anesthesiologist conducted three sexual assaults on patients at place North York General Hospital.
Bonnie Adamson, president and CEO of North York General Hospital, said that operating room was a busy place that housed several people. Nurses, doctors and other staff had opportunities of being alone with patients.
Adamson said, "This is a single individual that has been alleged to have has these charges and specific to that individual. Our organization has provided high quality patient care in the past and it'll continue to do so."
Police has charged Dr George Doodnaught, 61, with three counts of sex assault.
Adamson informed that he has not come for work at the hospital since mid-February when the allegations were made at the Leslie St. hospital.
Dr David White, chief of staff at the hospital, said, “It's possible that when patients come off the anesthetics, they may conjure false memories or hallucinations.”
