The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) have obtained a ban against a Queensland-based man who claims that his cancer treatment programme can cure cancer.
Darryl Jones from Sunshine Coast has a ban against him as his programme accuses him of misleading people.
Brisbane Federal Court is from where the ACCC obtained the temporary injunction.
The injunction stops Jones from making claiming that he can help people fight cancer or can prevent or treat the growth of cancer.
Everyone suffering from cancer has been urged by the ACCC to seek advice from a suitably qualified medical practitioner.
Jones charged $2900 for three months of his ‘diet, exercise and faith’ based program in 2008, but since then this fee has been reportedly reduced.
