After about a year of releasing its `random vocabulary' game Scribblenauts, Nintendo DS's most notable breakout hits of 2009, Nintendo Power recently revealed that it is working on the game's sequel - Scribblenauts 2 - which will likely be released in fall this year.
Going by the information forwarded by GoNintendo, the Scribblenauts sequel will feature some new additions and enhancements - like the inclusion of 10,000 new words; 120 "new and improved" levels; better controls to address the complaints about the original game; a new hint system; a fleshed out level editor; and probably more emphasis on adjectives.
With Scribblenauts 2 likely to focus more on the adjectives, the gameplay possibilities will comparatively widen much more than those of the first game - more so as players can increasingly use adjectives to modify the things they create.
Even though noteworthy sales figures can already be expected from the Scribblenauts sequel, with the original having achieved the enviable more than 1 million sales mark in February; it is indeed commendable on the part of the creators to have accepted the users' suggestions, and taken a note of their complaints, so as to take the game to the next level.
Commenting on the Scribblenauts 2's forthcoming release, GamePRO remarked: "Given the amount of awards Scribblenauts walked away with at DICE this year, we're not at all surprised to hear there's a sequel due out soon."
