New studies have brought to the open that kids who have serious peanut allergies can be helped with slow but steady intake of peanut without escalating the amount of allergic food but slowly increasing the amount. This method will make the child tolerant over time as the treatment is continued.
It was reported that this was not for allergic people to have peanuts consciously. It was actually for the body to be tolerant and not cause severe allergies if there has been a mistaken intake of peanuts. However, the basic and long term goal of the treatment would be to promote tolerance for all people to be able to eat peanuts.
It was also made certain that an allergy to peanuts might cause sudden breathing trouble and in severe cases, it could also cause death. The studies are still in a small scale and will take some more time to determine whether this treatment hold for all kinds of people as it would not make all patients safe from the allergies. The findings are continuously encouraged but still a caution hangs in the air about the credibility of the findings.
