Giving a sneak preview of its convertible version of Mulsanne, Bentley invited some of its most valued customers. The concept convertible car was shown to a select group of existing and potential Bentley customers at Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in Monterey, USA. Looking at the response for the concept car, Bentley would put the convertible into production accordingly and would be sold along the £225,900 Mulsanne soon.
The cabin that was inspired by luxurious, high performance power boats, has room for four adults. Bentley says that the Convertible Concept is "the world's most elegant and sophisticated convertible, providing a supremely powerful and refined luxury grand touring experience for four adults". However no details about the size of the car have been given but the official sketches revealed usage of fabric roof rather than the folding hard-top.
Bentley's Chairman and Chief Executive, Wolfgang Dürheimer said, "The modern, luxurious, high-tech Mulsanne saloon provides a perfect foundation on which to create the world's most elegant convertible. The Convertible Concept will extend the appeal of the Mulsanne family, while enhancing the profile of the Bentley brand, particularly in new and emerging markets." Bentley aims at providing a luxurious, sophisticated and elegant experience through their new convertible.
