Even though there were some disagreements with the award winners at the Teen Choice awards, but there were a few artists who evidently were the favorites. Taylor Swift walked away with most awards, a total of five in number including female country artist, female artist.
The award ceremony took place on Sunday at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Los Angeles. The number of awards distributed in various categories were 89, divided among television, fashion, music, sports and movies. Amongst other winners was Justin Bieber who won awards for male artist, single by a male artist for his hit track "Boyfriend" and summer music star-male, Selena Gomez and the Scene for music group, One Direction for summer music star-group, breakout group and love song `What Makes You Beautiful', while Nicki Minaj won awards for categories R&B/hip-hop artist and R&B/hip-hop song for `Starships'.
Swift won an award for her voiceover for the film "Dr. Seuss' The Lorax" where her character was Audrey. Other interesting awards included, choice hissy-fit award that went to Charlize Theron for her part in "snow white & the Huntsman", choice social network went to Facebook. Performances at the awards included, Flo Rida, No Doubt, Justin Bieber, DJ Pauly D and Carly Rae Jepsen.
The "Twilight Saga" stars, Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner were yet again showered with awards with the highest lifetime achievement honor. The movie franchise that will be releasing it's final movie this year in November, Breaking Dawn- Part 2 has achieved 41 Teen Choice awards till date since the movie debuted in 2008.
