Asthma is a serious problem that is caused due to several reasons ranging from allergy to dust particles or pollution. According to the reports of a charity dealing with asthma problems in U. K. around 40% asthma patients just ignore their problem and do not it seriously at all. According to the charity a lot of people de-emphasize the problem the risk of having a fatal attack.
According to the reports of charity around 182,000 people in Northern Ireland are suffering from asthma and around 20 people die because of the same problem. They also told that almost 1700 people get hospitalized due to the same problem.
The members of charity told medication and regular consultation with the doctors or nurse could help people in fighting with asthma attacks and hospital admissions. People can always fight with the problem of asthma by taking their medicines on time. People should always keep an eye on their allergy problem and how such allergies can be avoided.
On World Asthma Day a lot of sufferers of the same problem met each other and talked with each other regarding the same problem. One of the sufferer, Steven-James Stothers, told BBC that many of the sufferers were not at all aware of the risks due to the problem.
He also added, "During my late teenage years I rebelled against taking my medication because I wanted to fit in with my friends," he said. "Throughout that time I was in hospital at least once a month after having an attack but then I realized I needed my inhalers to keep healthy".
The hospitals of the city told that up to 75% of the emergency cases can be cured properly with medication and a lot of lives can be saved.
