Brenda Flanagan-Davies, the fattest woman in Britain, is so big that she has not been able to move out of her two bedroom house for the last four years.
The 43-year-old form Gateshead weighs in at 40 stones. The gained the dubious distinction of being the country’s fattest woman after Sharon Mevsimler, who weighed in at 45 stones died two years ago of a heart attack at the age of 41.
Now Brenda is also advancing the same way, forcing many to think again about the increasing levels of obesity in the country.
The extreme case of Brenda is not a gloomy situation only for her own self, but for the taxpayer also as the taxpayer is footing the bill worth £700 for Brenda’s care per week. She gets benefits worth £300 per week and also costs an additional £400 per week to her local council.
She requires a team of carers everyday to assist her with essential functions like eating and washing.
Brenda’s daily diet consists of 6,000 calories, which mostly come from junk food and fizzy drinks.
