If you are also pampering your child with a product from the famous brand name Johnson & Johnson then wait a minute and give a look to this news.
Reports have confirmed that Johnson & Johnson has recently recalled the entire supply of its Grape flavored infants' Tylenol that the company produced and sold to the U. S. markets recently once again. The above recall has been made for the 574,000 bottles in which the company recently noticed a flaw in its design and decided the action.
Since a time now, a string of recalls is continuing from the health product giant. Fortunately, no harm from the product has been reported yet but the decision has definitely set back the efforts of the company to regain its entire sales target.
Earlier, recalls by the company forced it to pull many of its products from the selling shelves, the list of which also included grape-flavored infants Tylenol, which finally returned to the market in November last year but recent recall on Friday will again no more see the product in the market (at least for some time).
Reports are saying that J&J has recalled almost millions of bottles of Tylenol, Benadryl, Motrin and Zyrtec since the year 2009 on complaints of finding metal shavings in medicines, incorrect levels of an active ingredient and bad odors. Moreover, the recalls have also forced J&J to shut down one of its factories, which cost the company a loss worth $1 billion.
“Today’s news about the Infants’ Tylenol recall is clearly disappointing after all the progress that McNeil has been making to ensure its products meet the highest level of quality and consumer satisfaction”, CEO Mr. William Weldon said in a statement.
