Proview Calling For Ban Over Import - Export Of Apple’s iPadIt has been reported that ongoing dispute over the trademark of Apple's iPad has begin to affect its sales in China as a Chinese firm Shenzhen Proview Technology has asked the authorized concerned to ban the import and export of Apple's iPad.

Recently the firm won a ruling, claiming it to be the holder of iPad name in the country. It has asked the court to call for ban in 30 other cities. If the appeal is granted then the sales of Apple would be severely affected in the country.

It has been informed by the Proview lawyer, Xie Xianghui that the company is urging the custom officers to seize and restrict the movement of the iPads in the region. Apple is moved by Shenzhen Proview Technology's action. A Spokeswoman of Apple, Carolyn Wu said, "We bought Proview's worldwide rights to the iPad trademark in 10 different countries several years ago. Proview refuses to honor their agreement with Apple in China".

China is regarded as the potential market for Apple as its demand in the China's market has been growing. If the iPad of Apple is banned in the country then Apple might succumb to serious loses. In China, the trademark owners have the right to seize the products which have violated their rights.

The law was actually introduced to deal with the ongoing illegal trade of movies, designer clothes and music. Thus, Proview has all the right to call for a ban over the import and export of Apple's iPad. Although Proview has expressed interest in calling a ban over the movement of Apple's iPad in the country, it has not been informed as to when the ban would come into effect.
