MySpace has no doubt faced greater challenges in its life time but soon after 2010, the position of the social networking site has improved as it has gathered the attention of 75 million users from all over the world.
In the month of December, MySpace was upgraded with a new feature of music player. Soon after the introduction of the music player on the MySpace, a number of new users begin to explore the site and thus joined it.
Since December and till now, about one million new users have joined MySpace. The CEO of MySpace, Tim Vanderhook was reported as saying, "The numbers tell an amazing story of strong momentum and dramatic change for MySpace. And the one million-plus new user accounts we've seen in the last 30 days validates our approach".
Vanderhook has further informed that the team of MySpace had been working very hard to ensure that the content posted over the social networking site is entertaining. The newly attached music player offers as many as 42 million songs to the MySpace users.
The whole concept of adding music player to MySpace has proved helpful in attracting new users to the social networking site. Before the advent of Facebook, MySpace was one of the most favored social networking sites.
But the challenges thrown by the Facebook and other social networking sites hampered the growth of MySpace severely. The team of MySpace has said that by integrating twitter and Facebook, MySpace had been able to grab to the attention that it wanted since past many years. There was a time when no one used to sign up in a day. But now about 40,000 people sign up on MySpace every day.
