In the meantime, Japanese students who went through a quarantine process at Auckland Airport due to potential threat of spreading flu were claimed of having only common cold, and they were therefore released by authorities.

The flight flying Tokyo had 274 passengers on board and due to the flu scare, the flight officials warned about a potential health risk when the aircraft landed on Monday morning, since more than 60 passengers were displaying flu-like symptoms.
