Valentine-DayValentine’s week is here and you might be busy doing preparations to give a grand surprise to your loved one. But in this excitement, do not forget your pet which might fell ignored in all these arrangements.

Another thing that you need to take care is not to be too generous to your pet in this love week, in terms of feeding him extra sugary things as they can be fatal for his health. One of the pet health websites, petMD, has talked about some of the things which can prove quite taxing for our furry friends.

First thing is not to show your love for your friend by feeding them chocolates that are poison for their health. Moreover, pet keepers are found saying that they are quite conscious of their pet’s health and feed them baked chocolates.

However, the website has warned that these baked chocolates are even more hazardous for pet’s health than normal chocolates. Baked chocolate are especially harmful for dogs and if, by any chance, they attained success in grabbing a generous chunk of it then your pet might end up admitted in a hospital.

“It is essential to keep all chocolates out of your pet's reach. Yes, even that last raspberry-filled nugget from the assorted box of chocolates no one ever seems to want”, read the website. One also has to make sure that they do not fall in the trap of sugar free candies and gums for their furry friends.

Sugar-free sweets have large amount of xylitol, which is an artificial sweetener. It is toxic for pets’ health and causes severe infection, especially among dogs. Even a red rose can be cause of severe allergy in dogs and cats. So this valentine’s day, take great care of your furry pals.
