Eco-Friendly Robot That Excretes

EcoBot-IIIAs per recent reports, it has been revealed that scientists have taken yet another step to get closer to develop eco friendly robot. A group of scientists at the Bristol Robotics Laboratory is the one which has gained success as they have developed a robot which not only consumes organic matter to get power, but excretes as well like human.

It is a big win for science fraternity to develop an eco-friendly robot which is named as Ecobot-III. The group of scientists which developed the robot told that it can consume food and water and can even feed on human excreta and at the end of the day, it also needs to visit a toilet.

The scientists who prepared it told that they have already started received inquiry mails from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and NASA. There are chances that their designed robot could travel Mars trip.

Though the newly created robot can feed on anything, they in the lab feed it refined sugar which is powered with E. coli. One of the scientists, who was involved in the making of robot, told that it is not the first time they have tried to develop an eco friendly robot. But this is definitely the first one which visits toilet to remove extra waste from its system.

They prepared one robot which was capable to work with any sludge microbes to break anything like rotten apples, dead flies, and prawn shells among others. However, the new robot is quite different from its predecessors as “EcoBot-III is a robot that collects its own food and water from the environment. It performs the task we design it to do, and at the end of the day, it gets rid of its own waste”.
