In a recent report, it has been revealed that if one’s yoga guru isn’t god enough, or is immature, it could actually be potentially dangerous. Experts are of the view that inexperienced people giving yoga lessons might actually be dangerous for one.
There has been this recent trend of going back to the roots, and following yoga as an effective way for weight loss, and healthy living. People all over the world are becoming attracted towards these yoga lessons. It is however essential to note that if the instructor isn’t right; one might be heading for danger.
The ‘asanas’ in yoga are complex and can be taught only after one has mastered them over years of practice and knowledge. Implied trying to imitate from books or going to amateur people to learn yoga, one might be putting themselves to a huge risk.
This is because they might not tell one the right techniques and this could have adverse effects like aching bodies’, twisted arms and legs, or something more serious like breathing difficulties or joint dislocations.
"I have been doing yoga since 1970 and I love it.”But as I pursued my research I discovered to my horror that there are some poses, which have a very low risk of happening, but if they do, have extremely high consequences”, said William J. Broad, a Pulitzer Prize-winning science author.
The people pursuing yoga need to understand that it comes with a few risks which cannot be undermined. This is why it is all the more essential to get a good trainer and practice yoga under controlled conditions, otherwise it might be dangerous.
