In a recent report, it has been revealed that there is a new ‘morning pill’ which is available at the vending machines placed in Shippensburg University in Pennsylvania. Federal regulators though are of the view that this is making emergency contraception far too easily available and would tend to make youngsters, all the more causal and laid back about their approach towards sex.
This is however an endless debate. The students might be of the view that this is a good thing, because it would mean they don’t have to worry about getting contraceptives from the stores. They can simply get it from a vending machine. One the other hand, the authorities are of the view that this will definitely help in further deterioration in the thinking and approach of young children towards a sensitive issue like sex. It would also tend to help in lowering the unwanted pregnancies. This is because some people are simply too embarrassed to go to the store for a contraceptive pill, and end up becoming pregnant unplanned. It will also mean perhaps it is personalized medicine taken too far.
"It's part of the general trend that drugs are available for consumers without interface with a pharmacist or doctors. This trend has serious pitfalls”, revealed Professor Alexander Stern from the University of Michigan.
There is need for more sex education for children so that there isn’t need for restoring to absolutely desperate measures like contraceptives in vending machine in the time to come. There is need for the teens to take this issue more responsibly and stop fooling around with their lives. They need to turn to a little more morally right behavior in the future.
