A Romanian born model has just 20cm waist and weighs 38kgs, and is a true picture of human hourglass figure. Ioana Spangenberg, 30, has a tiny 50cm waist and she claims to have it since she was a teen. Ioana told that when she was 13, she had the waist around 38cm and anyone could hold her waist in their fingers and still there was an extra room.
Her figure has created a lot of controversies and was said that it is due to her teenage dieting. However, it is not the truth, said Iona, who further affirmed that she eats three square meals and continuously gorge on chips and chocolates. Her three time meals are double the size of an average girl’s platter, but it did not help her increase weight.
In Romania, it is always to be on heavier side as then people think that girls are from good and wealthy family. Iona told that she has to pay a lot for her hourglass figure as when all her friends are out and having fun with boys, she used to sit at home and binge on Mars bars.
Iona said, "In Romania it is better to be overweight, because that means you are from a wealthy family. So while my friends were going out and dating, I was sitting at home with Mars bars wishing I could fatten up”.
She started finding herself ugly, but everything changed when she met her German husband in 2006. Iona said that after marriage, she shifted to Germany where she was not able to eat pizzas and kebabs and got thinner than before. Her husband advised her that she is born to become a model and should give it a try.
Iona said that her luck worked and she is now a known name in the modeling industry. She still feels that she should put on weight and look even better.
