There were third degree burns she suffered, and there was even need for the reconstruction of her face to be done, after she was attacked on, in the year 2008. The attack was prompted by her ex-boyfriend, the one she had dumped, Daniel Lynch, 35-year-old. He had arranged for a young 22 –year-old lad to through acid on her face.
There have been hundreds of plastic surgeries she has had to go through since then. There was also skin grafting done to repair her face and eyes
There was a time she had to wear a mask for a span of 23 hours per day, so that her scar tissues could be stretched, and she could make the recovery.
Finally she recovered with the help of the doctors from the Queens Victoria hospital situated in East Grinstead in the West of Sussex.
“I'd seen a lot of progress with my scars, but my sight was the one injury I'd say to myself was permanent and least expected to change. I do feel like I'm winning.’ It has been an amazing feeling”, she revealed in an interview. She further thanked the team at the hospital where she was treated.
It was further revealed by Dr. Sheraz Daya, that the main aim of the team was to help the healing of the cornea. This is how the sight was restored.
She can now lead a new chapter of her life, forgetting the horrendous past, and dealing with the new leaf of life she has been blessed with.
