Auckland GP Finalist in New Zealander of the Year Awards

WearableArtAccording to recent information, it has been reported that an Auckland-based GP with a very busy as a bee skin cancer surgery apart from a boutique bookshop has recently been nominated as finalist for the prestigious “New Zealander of the Year” award.

Sharad Paul, who received his training in plastic surgery and is an associate of the RNZCGP, reportedly specializes in performing skin cancer surgeries and also offers free skin cancer checks. He provides services from Glenavon Doctors Surgery’s Skin Surgery Clinic in Blockhouse Bay.

Earlier in 2010, Dr. Paul was credited for developing a novel skin graft strategy that apparently reduces pain, costs and the time of healing for patients’ betterment. Along with that, he also tutors skin cancer surgery at the University of Queensland and Auckland University. In addition, he is also the chairmen of the New Zealand’s Skin Cancer College.

Other than his services, positions and teachings, Dr. Paul has also written various books on topics like skincare and creative writing. Dr. Paul, a published writer, also owns the Newmarket-based “Baci Lounge”, a bookstore cum café which, on various instances, has been listed as one of the best cafes in Auckland by Metro magazine of Auckland.

The funds generated from the literacy programmes in schools of Auckland by the Baci Foundation Charitable Trust help educate the underprivileged and impoverished children. The Baci Foundation Charitable Trust works with young school kids and focus on inspiring them.

Dr. Paul has also established Baci Cosmetologie, a skincare firm. And now after all the good work, he has achieved one of the biggest podiums of glory for any New Zealander by becoming a finalist in the famous Kiwibank “New Zealander of the Year” awards.

The list of other finalists includes Dame Suzie Moncrieff, the founder of the World of Wearable Art, and Sir Richard Taylor of the Weta Workshop. No matter who wins the title, there’s no mistake to be made in claiming that the three finalists are legends in their respective fields, and all of them have already won the biggest recognition on the planet: a sense of pride in working for humanity and betterment of the masses.
