It has been recently revealed that the faulty implants that were creating a buzz have been the reason for making the worst fears of people come true. There have been as many as 20 cases of cancer due to these faulty implants. These implants were manufactured by a French firm PIP, which has even admitted having used cheaper material. They revealed that they were using cheaper material because it was cost effective and didn’t know that it could be so harmful for the people using it.

The French Government has said that they shall be paying for the removal of as many as 30, 000 implants in the country women They have made clear though that they shall not be paying for the reconstruction of the implants, unless the patients have had the initial one due to mastectomy.

There have been 15 cases of adenocarcinoma, together with other forms of the disease in the infected women. There is need for a thorough investigation to be done to find how many women are suffering from complications and the reason for such a major blunder. It is also essential that women take care in the future to get breast implants only from those firms, which they are sure use good products.

The implants made by PIP have been causing trouble for a while now, and the firm has been shut down as well. There is need for making sure that other firms have a quality check as well, to find out the authenticity of their products before use.
