A recent case of a six months old baby’s death has been getting the attention of one and all. It has been told that the baby had been living with his mother Victoria Taylor and her boyfriend James Hemana
It has also been told that 31-year-old Hemana has been charged of murdering the baby after it was found that the man had been hitting the baby since a long time, and consequent to such treatment, the baby finally died in Starship Children's hospital on July 28, last year.
While the trial is going on in the High Court in Auckland, it has been told by the uncle of Cezar Taylor that the baby had been fine from the time of birth. Earlier, the baby had been with his biological father Adam Clarke in Tauranga, but later, he was shifted with his mother at the South Auckland Housing.
Recalling the face if the baby, Taylor said Cezar was "playful, like in the first week, then he started getting sick - runny nose, spewing ... drowsy, lack of energy, very sleepy all the time. It wasn't good”.
Even baby's uncle Russell Taylor had noticed couple of times that the baby’s eyes used to flick back in his head and then come back to normal. Even the baby was called for this weird antic as "zombie, zombie boy".
Though Victoria and Hemana were aware about the condition, there never took him to doctor. Whenever Taylor told Hemana about seeing a doctor, the man remained aloof with the potential problems and passes it off as casual remarks. Instead of paying attention to the glaring symptoms, the duo took it quite casually.
James Hemana though admitted that he did overlook the need to take the baby to hospital, he refused to admit that it was done with criminal intention.
