In the recently held 2011 Los Angeles motor show, Honda unveiled its new CR-V model. The new CR-V, as compared to the older version, is shorter in size but has ample interior space. Moreover, this time, the manufacturer has made provision of small pockets in its front door to keep cell phones.

Although some changes have been brought in the model of CR-V, its height is still the same which makes it convenient for the riders to enter. In has been informed that Honda's new CR-V would be launched in Australia in 2012.

The revised version of CR-V has 2.4-litre four-cylinder petrol engine. The improved engine helps it to produce 138kW of power and 220N-m of torque. The new model would consume only 9.0 liters of fuel for 100 km.

Honda Australia has is doubtful whether or not the new model would be able to give competition to Toyota's RAV4, Nissan's X-Trail, Volkswagen's Tiguan and Mitsubishi's Outlander. The new CR-V might not be having a diesel version.

The new model of Honda has been designed while keeping in mind the safety and comfort of driver. It does have features like as alloy wheels, Bluetooth phone streaming and a rear-view camera. However, when it comes to safety, the car has dual front, front-side and full-length curtain airbags.

Honda CR-V has been given fife-star rating for safety. The car is likely to attract large consumers all over the world. However in US, Honda is regarded as one of the best car selling manufacturers.

Although all goods are coming in picture about Honda CR-V, its launch is still awaited in many parts of the world. However, Honda is hopeful about its new CR-V. It is hoped that the sale of Honda's CR-V would bring greater revenue to the manufacturer.
