Artificial Pancreas Gives More Hope

While blood sugar can be successfully contained with insulin, getting the dosage of the insulin right is a very tricky and trying and the worst part is that it involves a certain amount of guesswork which is quite dangerous. So, it is great news that the artificial pancreas has been devised and it has been reported that the whole process will now become a whole lot easier and safer than ever before.

Even though the artificial pancreas would take about five years to be perfected and to reach diabetes, it is nevertheless a brilliant breakthrough in the management of diabetes as parents will not have to come up with just the right amount of insulin to use. This pancreas automatically injects the perfect amount of insulin into the blood stream. The pump would basically be fitted with a chip that contains the computer program that still has to be perfected.
