SsangYong making a comeback to the UK with new Korando Korean car manufacturer SsangYong is making a come back to the UK market with launch of its new crossover SUV, the Korando, in September this year.

Equipped with a 173bhp 2.0 turbo diesel engine, the Korando will be available in an option of three trim levels, viz. S, ES, EX. Buyers will also be able to choose it in an option of front-wheel drive or four-wheel drive.

The entry level Korando features cruise control, ESP with Hill Start Assist and reverse parking sensors as standard, while the ES and EX also feature a sunroof, climate control, leather upholstery plus heated front & rear seats.

The vehicle delivers 360NM of torque and 157g per km CO2 emissions.

The Korando is capable of towing two tons. In extreme conditions, like snow and slippy fields, the driver can select all wheel drive lock that splits torque 50/50 between the front and rear wheels.

Speaking about the upcoming vehicle, Paul Williams, chief of the UK importer, SsangYong Motor UK said, “Korando is a great value proposition, and arrives in the highly competitive crossover market at absolutely the right time.”

The entry-level Korando has been priced at £16,995, while the EX Auto 4-wheel drive model will cost £22,995.
