Australia’s Retail Food Group Ltd has bought the Big Dads Pies franchise system, in a move that will help it expand its business further.
The Big Dads Pies franchise system comprises outlets in south-east Queensland.
Tony Alford, the CEO of the Retail Food Group, said the recent acquisition brought the number of acquisitions announced by the company in the past month to four.
Big Dad’s Pies CEO Stephen Donnelly said strike the deal as they do not have sufficient knowledge of franchising.
Commenting on the issue, he said, “But we do not have the knowledge of franchising, and that’s why we reached out to RFG.”
RFG also said that net profits for the first half would remain in the range of 10-15 per cent over $11.05 million, which was reported for the similar period of last year.
However, the price of the deal has not been disclosed.
