Britain Having a Tough Time to Pull Out of Recession

The Government has managed to convince the general population that British economy will soon be not only out of recession, but also witness rapid rise in growth. But figures shared by the Office for National Statics seem to paint another picture all together.

Latest figures shared have revealed that during the third-quarter of the current year, the country's Gross Domestic Production contracted by 0.2%, which is definitely a revision from a decline of
0.3% that had been previously estimated for the GDP, mainly on the back of a rise seen in construction which managed to somewhat shadow the downwards tends recorded by production and services.

The total GDP is, however, still lower than the 5.1% recorded for 2008's third quarter.

The figures posted have dashed all hopes that the recession might have ended in the reported quarter.

While many experts are still resounding the hopes that UK has returned to growth and has finally managed to shrug off the recession, the actual figures seem to portray something else, and the long term forecast is not optimistic either. According to the prediction out forward by the CBI yesterday, the country's recovery will be "sluggish" for at least 3 more years to come.
