Awareness Quiz on HIV/AIDS
An awareness quiz on HIV/AIDS was organized by partnership of Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) and Brunei Press Sdn Bhd, which initiated on December 1 at World Aids Day and ended on December 20.
In the quiz, six questions pertaining to the knowledge on HIV/ AIDS's were asked from the participants. Twenty winners were selected through a draw at the location of the Brunei Press Commercial Service Printing.
The winners were picked by Hazizah Osman, Deputy General Manager of Brunei Press and Tan Lee Ngee, Standard Chartered Bank's Head of Human Resources. The names of the winners will be publicized on December 31 in Bulletin and each of them will be given B$60 worth of Standard Chartered Goodie Bags.
HIV Education and Awareness comes under the purview of corporate social responsibility at Standard Chartered Bank. People with the help of Standard Chartered's Living with HIV programme can understand about HIV and AIDS and differences between them. The programme also teaches about effective prevention methods, ways by which infection transmits and related things.
An estimated 33.4 million people are suffering from HIV and AIDS worldwide and 90% people are such who are not aware of the fact that they are HIV infected or have AIDS, as per UNAIDS' last year report.
