A new search engine which hopes to take on Google has promised to provide their users with a higher quality of internet content. This New Zealand search engine, Pingar, was demonstrated earlier this week and it has been reported that the search result would be in PDF format. In other words, instead of the format of the results that is generated by Google or Bing, Pingar would give the result in a 5 page PDF document.
The content of the document would be collected from the owners of various websites belonging to companies and other individuals who have signed up with the search engine to give it complete access to their content. All those who sign up will also benefit, as they will be the recipient of a part of the advertising revenue that is gathered from the marketers who would sponsor the PDF result pages of Pingar.
Pingar literally takes the browsing out of browsing. The results are to initially support only text and other graphics like graphs and photos, and it is working with many universities including that of New Zealand to include movie contents too as part of its search results.
