WSJ: Sprint likely to unveil its 4G WiMAX-capable HTC handset next Tuesday

Going be a Wednesday report in the Wall Street Journal (WSJ), Sprint CEO Dan Hesse will introduce the carrier’s new 4G (fourth-generation) wireless smartphone – which most likely will be the first WiMAX-capable HTC-manufactured handset called the ‘Supersonic’ - during a CTIA Wireless show in Las Vegas, Nevada, next Tuesday.
AT&T planning a May launch of its energy-efficient ‘Zero Charger’ for cell phones

In a move to eliminate the so-called specter use of electricity by a cell-phone charger in standby mode, AT&T will introduce its energy-efficient charger – the Zero Charger – across its US stores in May this year.

In a March 17 confirmation, wireless carrier Sprint said that it will ‘soon’ sell the Google-branded Android-based Nexus One smartphone – however, the carrier refrained from giving further details about the when it would be offering the Google handset and how much it intends charging for it.

The much-awaited HD2 smartphone availability in the US was Tuesday announced by HTC and T-Mobile wireless carrier; who also revealed that, at present, there were no specific plans to include the forthcoming Microsoft Windows Phone 7 OS on the handset, which will hit the US markets March 24.
