Grey Power Trashes Reheated Food Proposal

The government is calling for a repair of the provision of the hospitals meal with an approximated saving of up to $175 million over 15 years.

Bariatric Surgery to be Available in Christchurch

Bariatric surgery was not being provided to people living in Christchurch. This made morbidly obese people to travel to other places to get their surgeries done.
However, no more, as Canterbury District Health Board (CDHB) has decided that they will start providing services in the region. It was in 2010 that the government has promised to provide $8 million to fund as many as 300 such surgeries.

A recent annual report on the use of illegal drugs has raised concerns over the increased use of synthetic cannabis products. Methamphetamine users have been discovered to be using more of such illegal drugs. Figures suggest that the use has depicted a sharp rise from 10% administered in 2010 to 41% in 2011.

As per reports, it has been revealed that Charlene Makaza, 10, who was thought to have lost her life due to HIV infection, had not died due to the above mentioned reason. Lorna Martin, a South African pathologist has confirmed in the High Court in Christchurch that deep cuts on her genitals are due to forceful sexual assault.
