Pictures of super-large panorama are available on the web and those pictures spanned well over half the diameter of Earth. NASA's Landsat Data Continuity Mission captured the pictures from a whopping 438 miles above the surface of our great blue marble.

There are various types of supernova. But, this exploded star is known to have been a white dwarf star, a Sun-like star in the final stages of its life.
