Statins Can Help in Avoiding Second Strokes in Young Adults: Researchers

Statins have been quite helpful to young people as it has been capable of reducing the risk of second stroke, claimed the study published in the journal Neurology.
The Finnish researchers examined 215 people who suffered strokes between the ages of 15 and 49. The reason behind their stroke was not clear and all the cases notified that the stroke occurred was due to the blockage of blood vessels.

People spending their early life in the cattle farms were at a greater risk of blood cancer, reveals a study commenced by researchers from New Zealand. The research published in the journal, Occupational and Environmental Medicine, states that children’s exposure to certain viruses in the cattle farms affected the immune system, which led to the chances of contracting blood cancer in future.

The researchers at the University of Liverpool have named their novel study as ‘Factors associated with mortality of geriatric horses in the United Kingdom’. In the study, they have concluded that lameness and colic were main factors for the cause of euthanasia, among older horses.
