The norovirus winter vomiting bug reportedly hit the P&O’s Azura cruiseliner, which docked in Southampton on Saturday, with 400 travellers claiming to have been struck down by the bug.

A recent report has revealed that guest nights in New Zealand have fallen significantly as a consequence of a decline in the number of international visitors.
It has been found that the number of short-term visitors has dwindled by 19% and has touched 179,100 in the month of September. However, a year before, the number was quite high; a large contribution was made by the Rugby World Cup, which attracted many people.

Expedia’s Chairman, Barry Diller, a media billionaire, has joined a host of companies that have planned to split and spin off units this year. According to reports, their plans to split into two publicly traded companies through the proposed spin-off of its TripAdvisor business, could help unlock value for the high-growth TripAdvisor travel site business as the company focuses on investing in products that will enhance its competitive positioning.
