Ulta Salon Reports Strong Fourth Quarter Results Beating Expectations

On Thursday, Ulta Beauty reported fourth-quarter earnings that beat the analysts' expectations and also forwarded a strong guidance for the full year. That pushed the company's shares up.

The company's President and Chief Executive Richard Hayne said, "The Urban brand saw regular price sales and margin improvement throughout the quarter and the end of the year."

According to the company executives, Urban Outfitters margins are expected to increase in the first quarter "slightly" compared to last year.
