SBI to Terminate its Free Accident Insurance Cover from July Onwards

SBI has released a statement for its customers saying that the Free Accident Insurance Cover for its car and home loan customers will be terminated from July this year. The current master policy by the bank is going to expire on 1 July, 2013.

Health Insurance Premiums Rise by 5%

Private health insurance premiums are to rise by 5.6% from April as the Federal Government has approved the increase for 2013. This means an individual will have to pay $1.70 extra whereas an extra $3.70 will be charged from the average family on top cover.
Health Minister Tanya Plibersek announced the increase in health insurance premiums that would be effective from April 1.
