The first full year's production from the Kupe oil and gas field enabled Genesis Energy to lift its full-year operating earnings 18 per cent in the teeth of a tough year in the electricity sector.

Shell’s Oil and Gas Exploration may Result in Economic Boom

The OMV consortium stated that Shell had joined it as a major partner and has given one of its exploration consents back to the Crown so that the other two could be focused on.

Spokesman Bernie Monk on behalf of families appealed for an answer for three major accidents held at West Coast namely the Brunner, the Strongman, the Pike. The Royal Commission inquiry was presently investigating the underground explosion at Pike River, which resulted in deaths of 29 people.
