Mumbai – Bangalore Industrial Corridor’s Feasibility To Be Checked
The central government has asked to check the feasibility of the newly proposed Mumbai-Bangalore industrial corridor. This was said by Union Commerce Minister Anand Sharma during a press conference today.
Singh has mentioned that the government has asked for the report of this proposed corridor.
He also mentioned at the press conference that after discussion with the Chief Minister of the state, the central government has agreed to extend the Chennai- Bangalore industrial corridor to Chitradurga.

Ford India Will Make Engine For EcoSport SUV In India
In a Ford India company report it was revealed that the company will make the engine for EcoSport SUV in India. This will help the company in reducing the tax burden and thus the price of the vehicle will be competitive.
"We will initially import the engines [from Europe], but will in future manufacture them locally," Sriram Padmanabhan, vice president for marketing at Ford's India unit, said Friday.
Ford India is planning to manufacture the engine at Chennai.

According to sources, Japanese commercial vehicle and SUV major Isuzu is going to set up a manufacturing plant at Sri City, a district in Andhra Pradesh, India. Isuzu is estimated to invest 1,500 crore to build the manufacturing plant.
YH production of MU-7 SUV and D-Max will begin in the Indian plant by 2016. Isuzu has to currently import the fully built models from its plant in Thailand. The company has already initiated the sales operations in Hyderabad and Coimbatore.
